I recently did a little study on scriptures that encourage me to be a stong, biblical, masculine, godly, humble man. I’ve been using these in my devotions to stir my heart to apply God’s word and hopefully grow in being more godly. So, I thought it could be useful to share some of them with you. Enjoy.
Scriptures:
Joshua 1:9 — “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 — “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 15:58 — “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
Acts 5:29 — “But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men.’”
Titus 2:6 — “Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled.”
2 Timothy 2:22 — “So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.”
1 Timothy 4:12 — “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
I especially love that last one, that you as young men, can set an example for all believers in how you live and walk out your life.
I also have been using this in my devotions to walk thru the gospel from scripture.
