While I’m not going to talk about prayer in a theological or doctrinal sense, I am going to provide some resources and materials that will hopefully be a means of grace for growth in this area.

Have a prayer plan.
Whether your plan is concentric circles-based or outline-based, focus on what you are praying about. Make a plan that works for you. Here is a sample prayer plan that I hope can serve you. Remember, prayer plans are meant to focus your prayers. Do what works for you.

Jerry Bridges – Why Should We Pray?
John Piper – Prayer: The Power of Christian Hedonism
John Piper – Be Devoted to Prayer
Eric Simmons – Pray (Note: This is a Word document copy of the article here . So that you can easily save it and print it out.)

Since I didn’t supply a resource for You Can’t Spell Man Without: Organization and it is a new year, here is a message from John Piper in 1984 titled A New Year’s Plea: Plan!.
